Portfolio X-Ray

Enter your positions: name, asset class, value. You'll immediately see the breakdown, and whether any single position or asset class has grown unusually large.

How this is calculated

What it calculates

The total value of your portfolio, how it splits across asset classes, and pointers to concentration risk.

Your inputs

  • For each position: name, asset class and current value in euros. Positions without a value are ignored.

The calculation

Total value = sum of all positions
Share of an asset class = total of that class ÷ total value

The classes are sorted by size. Notes appear when

  • a single position makes up more than 25%,
  • a single asset class makes up more than 70%,
  • more than 25% sits in cash and savings accounts (only a prompt to check).

Everything is calculated in your browser only; nothing is saved or sent anywhere.

What the result means

You see where your money is concentrated. The calculator does not know what a product contains: a broad world ETF is highly diversified internally but counts as one position here. The notes are a prompt to think, not a rating.

Example

A world ETF worth €30,000 and a single stock worth €8,000 (both "Stocks & ETFs") plus €12,000 in a savings account: total value €50,000. Stocks & ETFs 76%, cash & savings 24%. Notes: the ETF makes up 60% (over 25%), Stocks & ETFs 76% (over 70%). The cash share stays below its threshold.

This is a calculation aid, not a substitute for advice. It only shows what your portfolio looks like today, not whether that's right for you.

For the question of what allocation actually fits you, see Which allocation fits you. For context on concentration risk, see the lesson Diversification.

Frequently asked questions

Are my positions stored anywhere?

No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser. As soon as you reload the page, everything is empty again.

At what point does a position count as a concentration risk?

As a rough rule of thumb, above roughly 25 percent of the portfolio in a single position, or 70 percent in a single asset class. These are not hard limits, just reference points.

Does the tool tell me what to sell?

No. It only shows your current allocation and names concentrations. What you do with that is your own decision.
