Changelog

This is where new features and content areas on Zerotoinvest are logged, with a date. Corrections, layout polish, and internal quality passes aren't listed individually. New entries go on top.

2026-10-21

  • Comprehension checks with a question pool: each of the 104 lessons now has three questions. Every round shows two of them in random order, both have to be right, and after a mistake you get a new pair
  • The lesson “Spotting trends” now has a comprehension check too
  • A final exam for each competency level: ten random questions from that level's lessons, passed with eight correct answers. The certificate is issued only after that
  • The break-even calculator now has its own icon in the calculator overview
  • Exercise sheets with solutions as PDF for 16 calculation lessons, linked in each lesson and on the templates page
  • The About page now explains how ZeroToInvest is funded: entirely by voluntary donations
  • New page “Retirement planning” in Everyday Money: your pension gap in three steps, the German pension statement and digital overview, workplace pensions and the new retirement account from 2027
  • Two new calculators: withdrawal plan (how long a portfolio lasts with monthly withdrawals) and financial independence (how much wealth you need and when you get there)
  • All ten comparison tables can now be downloaded as images

2026-09-23

  • Certificate page: added a note on saving the diploma as a PDF via the browser's print dialog
  • Translated 14 section URLs that had still been spelled in German (e.g. /en/glossar/ → /en/glossary/, /en/suche/ → /en/search/), with permanent redirects from the old addresses

How this log is kept

This lists new features and content areas, not every correction or quality pass. Separately from this log, tax pages are reviewed at least once a year even when nothing changed.
